Exit opportunities from M&A consulting?

I was hoping someone could provide me with some insight into the types of exit ops that exist after spending some time doing mainly M&A consulting. The firm I plan to join does mostly CDD/VDD type work alongside some broader corporate strategy work. What would my exit ops look like if I decided to leave the role say a few years in?

Thanks everyone!
