EYP requesting a "technical interview"?

I have a "technical interview" with EY Parthenon for a strategy consulting role. I was provided with no further details aside from that this was a "technical interview". After asking via email, the question was dodged for no apparent reason. Should I treat this as a case interview, or can a "technical interview" entail something else?

I'm unsure if this is the same with your region, but EY-P's technical interview in Canada for the strategy growth arm entails a 3-hour super day that encompasses two case interviews and 2 partner chats. I understand that other teams within the firm (Canada based) may also receive  take-home assignments or aa long-form case study (one case with 2-3 hours including an Excel and PowerPoint component).

As for how to prepare, I would imagine the format, whether it's a long-form case or a 2 cases, will follow the traditional management consulting style. You should also prepare for behavioural questions just in case.
