Famous Non-MBB, Strat Consulting Firms in Asia?
Hi,
I was wondering if, aside from the obvious big names such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG and the generally elite boutiques that are solid everywhere such as Monitor, LEK, Oliver Wyman, etc., there are any particularly strong consulting firms in East Asia, particularly Singapore, Hong Kong and India. For example, in Europe, Roland Berger (spelling?) tends to have a strong name in that region particularly despite not being a household name globally, so do you know of firms like that in Asia?
I was under te impression that Booz is/was quite strong in that market - I could be wrong.
Universal Consulting in (Mumbai) India is gaining prominence. LEK actually has a stake in it and I know its hiring smart people these days.
Look at TSMG (Tata Strategic Management Group). They were initially formed to do strategy consulting for the Tata Group of companies. However, it has since diversified to offer strategy consulting services to non-Tata companies. I believe TSMG was formed by association with Roland Berger
