Firm delayed start. What are my options?

Incoming MBB regional (non-US) office. Firm informed us our start will be delayed until a time in the distant future. Been scratching my head for at least a while, then decided to ask your opinions on this.

Right now I have 4 options in mind, and they are:

1. Re-recruit for MBB & Tier 2 for 2024 start and try to negotiate an earlier start date; I can probably get an offer quite easily, but given the economic environment, my start date may not be much better than my original and it's quite unlikely they would approve my request for earlier start

2. Recruit for some adjacent jobs and try to negotiate an earlier start date; difficulty is unknown as I've never tried anything other than IB or consulting, and most if not all IB headcounts are frozen in this region currently

3. Do a really long off cycle in IB/PE; I believe the difficulty is not high at least in this region, but I'll be getting minimum wage (standard for internships in this region). I have means support myself, but still would like to get comped somewhat fairly.

4. Start a small business; I have a decent idea and funding to do it, but I've never started a business before and I might just fail

I'm not willing to leave this region because of my family commitments and lack of work authorization anywhere else. Currently I'm trying to do all but focusing on 4. Interested in your opinions on this. Thanks!
