From consulting to P&L role

I understand this transition is hard, but I have a few questions: 1) Can a consultant do anything to set themselves up for this kind of transition, while in consulting? 2) What are the perks / cons of P&L exit versus a corp strat exit? Versus a corp dev exit? 3) Is it easy to move from Corp Strat to P&L? How about from Corp Dev exit?
