From Financial Services Consulting to Commodities

Hello all,

I am currently a financial services consultant right out of my MSc but have been trying to get into commodities for a while. It seems hard to get in directly after school if you have not graduated from a target one but now that I have some experience in consulting, how can I leverage it to apply and get in the commodity business (trading houses preferably, but banks also)... any advise on how to proceed? what these houses like to see or how I can promote myself to get their interest?

thanks!
