FT 2025 Recruiting Events

Outside of MBB, has any firms begun recruiting or held recruitment events yet? I'm recruiting for entry-level roles starting in 2025 from a non-target school, so I'm curious when firms will begin hosting firmwide information sessions.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know about FT recruiting events outside of MBB:

  1. Recruiting Timeline:

    • T2 Firms: These firms tend to lock in applicants slightly earlier than MBB. For example, Wyman is known to have one of the earliest deadlines among T2 and MBB firms.
    • General Timeline: Full-time recruiting for many firms, including BBs and EBs, often starts around mid-July. This is when networking events and information sessions typically begin.
  2. Networking Events:

    • BBs and EBs: Some BBs and EBs host networking events as early as mid-July. These events can range in size and are often attended by students currently working in finance-related internships.
  3. Application Openings:

    • Moelis & Rothschild: Their applications for 2020 were already open by early spring, indicating a similar timeline might be expected for 2025.
    • Barclays: Opened their diversity applications and conducted interviews in March/April.
    • Citi S&T: Typically kicks off and completes their process by March.
  4. General Advice:

    • Networking: Start reaching out to alumni and attending any available networking events. This can help you get a foot in the door and stay informed about upcoming recruitment events.
    • Preparation: Ensure you are ready for casing and interviews by the time applications open, whether in July or later.

For more specific details, you might want to keep an eye on firm announcements and reach out to contacts within the industry.
