H1B visa sponsoring consulting companies
Hello,
I am an foreign trained physician with 6 years of clinical experience (outside the US) and 3 years of clinical research experience in the U.S. I obtained my masters in public health degree about a year ago, from a non-target public university (in the Midwest).
I desire to break into management consulting but will require work authorization sponsorship (H1B Visa), and will like to know which companies regularly sponsor H1B Visa for potential employees that require it. Also, I'll appreciate any insights or tips on how best to succeed in my aspiration to successfully become a management consultant from those with similar profile or those who have experience with people that have similar profile.
One more thing... any thoughts about how competitive I'll be for the McKinsey's Insight and BCG's Bridge programs?

MBB will sponsor you. Others like Deloitte probably will, but not 100% sure.
Thanks naivephd. Do you know about Accenture, and PwC consulting practices as well? I hear mixed reviews about them.

PwC will definitely sponsor you. I have a few friends from multiple lines of service who are on their H-1B.
I had an H1b Visa from Deloitte which was valid till October. Now that I have left job in Deloitte and joined PwC, they have offered a H1b Visa to me. I have joined PwC from Septemeber 17. 2015. For my marriage I have to travel to India in the month of December. It is urgent and I have to.
My concern is, will it be a problem while returning back from India to USA again as i have my job in USA?

McKinsey: Yes Bain: Yes BCG: Yes A.T. Kearney: Yes (mostly Business Analytics in the U.S. offices) Roland Berger: Yes Deloitte Consulting: No Strategy&: Yes Oliver Wyman: No (since this year) Booz Allen Hamilton: No (obviously) Navigant : No
Some boutique firms: Mars and Co.: Yes Stroud International: Yes
Hope this will potentially save a lot of time for international students applying for BA/AC positions. If anyone knows about other firms, please feel free to comment.

From what I'm able to gather Deloitte S&O sponsors H1-B on the commercial side but not on the federal side (DC office). Too bad only one side will recruit at a certain school, so if your school happens to be a target for Deloitte federal S&O you're out of luck. Aside from that:

Tricky Consulting Off-Cycle/Experienced Hire Recruiting Situation - H1B Visa (Originally Posted: 11/11/2012)
I graduated from college two years ago and have been working as a market research analyst. I am recently thinking about transitioning into a career in consulting. However, I am a foreign worker that will need an H1B work Visa sponsorship. I know that many consulting companies sponsor work visas. But the tricky part of the situation is that H1B Visa cap has already filled this year, and I won't be able to apply for an H1B Visa again until April 2013 (and won't be able to actually start working until October 2013). --This means if a company would like to hire me, they would have to be willing to wait for me for a year to start my employment.
I understand that with college recruiting, there is an incoming class system where offers were extended in the Fall of the student's senior year in college, and the actual start date of the employment won't begin until about after a year of the offer. Therefore, I was wondering if consulting companies would also be willing to "wait" for a year for off-cycle recruiting/experienced hires, given my tricky Visa situation.
