Have any of you ever had a bad semester ?

I’m a sophomore and this semester has just been really so so for me . I don’t necessarily have bad grades but I just lacked motivation to go above and beyond , just did the assignment before the due date and that’s it .I also missed a lot of classes then any other semester. I do however work 20 hours a week as a bank teller and it’s going great but nothing special came out of this semester, I’ll end up with more bs then As which is uncommon (no Cs). I wanted to ask if that happened with someone else too?

My freshman year I had a 2.6 GPA and I just landed a top group for 2022 SA (GS TMT/PJT RSSG/EVC M&A). Don't feel discouraged, anything is possible if you grind and have a great mindset.

I was in your exact situation sophomore year. Pressures from many things combined with covid ended up with a year where I was pulling much lower grades than average. It was very important to me to find motivation again, and breathe new life into my routines, and get motivated for recruiting and school. I would focus on finding something you really enjoy to help alleviate the pressures. You will be fine, I have a full time strategy consulting offer despite my sophomore slump.
