Help me decide a minor

I'll make it short and sweet. Currently an Econ and Data Science major. Hope to work in consulting or venture capital. I am between fintech, supply chain, math, finance, or accounting. More than happy to hear all feedback and appreciate any input. Thank you

I think it’s hard to say without knowing what the curriculum would be for the minors. However, generally speaking, people don’t really care about a minor so what you should be looking for is where you can maximize learning things that may be useful for your career.

I wouldn’t do supply chain if you’re into the VC stuff because you’re mostly working with tech companies who are often SaaS without real need for advanced supply chain work.

Fintech sounds cool but I would question what you would actually be learning. Could be cool though.

Math is always impressive because it’s difficult but you doing econ and data science verifies you’re already good at math

Finance seems the most practical if you’d actually learn how to do advanced financial modeling. That’s a very useful skill for VC work.

Accounting also practical because it gives you the business foundation you’re lacking with econ and data science.

I would lean towards Accounting or Finance because I think you’d learn the most practical skills
