Here's the response to my thank you email in MBB after my final round
Hi,
I just finished my final round with one of MBB but didn't get the decision call that day. For the 3 cases, I think I nailed one, one okay and the other one bad.
I sent thank you emails on Friday night and got a reply from one of the partners at 4am on Saturday saying 'great to meet you as well. look forward to staying in touch'. What does it mean? Am I rejected?
I would assume I did not get it and start thinking ahead for the next opportunity and whatnot. That way a positive decision, which is rather unlikely since you did not do too well on the cases, will be a positive surprise and not a bad disappointment.
All it means for sure is the partner was clearing their inbox at 4am on Saturday. Don't read anything more into it.

Good news for you. Every time I received those emails I always progress to the next round or if its the final round - an offer.
