How does going to the gym work as a consultant?
Will be working as a consultant soon, expecting to be on the road 4 days a week. How do consultants doing this work out if they're not even home? Just at the hotel gym?

Solid problem solving, you'll do great.
I had a question too but I answered it myself after hitting "Add Comment".
I won't address how dumb this question is...as a consultant, your primary skill is supposed to be problem solving.
Real answer: Yes, hotel gym. Best case is you get up at 5-530 and workout before heading to the client site for the day. Days on the road tend to be long and unpredictable - not to mention large team dinners/events at the end of each day. Don't count on yourself sneaking in a quick workout before the team heads to dinner.
Alternative to hotel gym: buy a membership to a national gym (e.g. Equinox, OrangeTheory, LA Fitness, etc.). I signed up for Orange Theory a few months ago (they have 5am and 6am Classes) and it's really improved my fitness.
To be fair, part of holistic problem solving is the ability to recognize the most efficient answer source. So perhaps OP figured they could get more tailored answers in an aggregated source rather than googling it and searching through several links that may not be factually accurate because they don't come from current verified industry members such as yourself
Lmao, Touche
With respect to both OP and yourself, OP's question displays a lack of critical thinking and is anything but an efficient use of time. I'd also argue that WSO is not the most efficient answer source rather than available alternatives (e.g., Mayo Clinic Staff. (2019, April 24). Traveling for business? Work in a workout.) My response to your points aside, I'd much less criticize a more direct question(s) (e.g., What are your favorite 24/7 gym franchises across the [insert: state/country/region]?, What hotels offer the best fitness amenities?, What compact fitness tools or in-room workouts do you rely on for physical fitness when traveling?). Maybe there is simply a hidden agenda behind the post; some may presume that OP is practicing how to increase billable hours.
Ever considered doing exercises at home such as HIIT?
You can sign up for gyms that have facilities across the US/abroad (if you are travelling frequently). Hotel gyms works too.
Hotel gym is a good bet. Otherwise do laps at hotel pool/runs around the hotel you're staying at and save the gym sessions for when you're back (Fri - Sun) in your hometown.
