How to get into Strategy&?

Hi all,

so this year I was unsuccessufl in applying for strategy&. i graduated in Law with a 2.1 from the university of Bristol is 2022. I have A*AA in my alevels, unfortunaterly I did not partake in consulting related activities while in Uni, but did have a leadership role in a student led charity organisation. Since graduating i worked in a small sales company, then in a commercial agent as a procurement analyst and my current role is a Higher executive officer in the Civil service in the department of trade, I do procurement type work here, often working with some managment consultancies.

I am debating if I need a masters as my uni is not a target and am considering some generic political subject at hopefully LSE, UCL (maybe KCL so though not sure this is a signifcant upgrade) - however have heard mixed advice as many say such a subject is not worth doing a masters in.

It may be worth noting I had final rounds at some management consultancies like PA, Vendigital and Newton.

Any advice or guidance would be great.
