If time is not an issue, what is the best way to prep for MC interviews?

Primarily Case Interviews-

If time was not an issue, then what would be the best way to prepare for Management consulting interviews?

The reason I ask is that if I train myself a certain way, it will be hard to think the other way.
Right now I am thinking of either using Case In Point or Caseinterviews.com LOMS as a starting point. Any advice on how to train myself before using practise cases would be great.

I'm going to assume you're an undergrad, if you're an MBA the process may be different. Speaking from personal experience I used LOMS, read Case in Point, used some Management Consulted material, and a bunch of case books. I practiced a good amount and got familiar with the case interview format. I think LOMS was helpful but not very representative of the case interviews I went through (including Bain and BCG final rounds). I feel like LOMS may be more representative of a McKinsey interview or maybe MBA level, but I found the interviews I went through were much more casual/conversational, and not nearly as structured as the ones presented in LOMS. That being said, I feel like no amount of preparation can really prepare you for everything, but it will make you more comfortable in the format, so I would encourage as much live participation as possible.

If time is not an issue, I would say try and hit as many materials as you can, find the frameworks that feel the most natural to you and go with them, keeping in mind you probably won't use them all the time. I personally liked Victor Cheng's Profit and Business Situation frameworks and used them, but I found that as I did more practice and going into case interviews I would modify frameworks depending on the question at hand.

I would also suggest not neglecting the behavioral portion, I think it's pretty important actually judging by feedback I've gotten.

I ended up getting an offer at BCG and will be interning there this summer as an associate! Good luck with your interviews.
