Internship success rate accenture/Oliver Wyman/Deloitte consulting/Strategy&

Hi, I just wanted wanted to ask if anyone on this forum has found any data available on approximately how many applicants apply for the summer internship programs for undergrads at accenture/ OW/ Strategy&/ Deloitte Consulting and so on - basically the strategy consulting firms that are just below MBB in terms of prestige in the eyes of aspiring undergrads. Interested especially in their UK offices. Any insight would be deeply appreciated. I am a second year BSc Economics student at University College London. My academics are quite strong (5 A*s in A Levels and first class for the first year in my course), but I am very weak in terms of extracurricular activities and demonstrated leadership abilities. I was wondering how far my grades can take me for the internship application process at these firms, so a rough idea of the success rates would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak to the UK experience, but in the U.S. we hire very few students after their first two years of university - most do internships after their 3rd year of university. Extracurriculars and leadership are extremely important - I usually won't consider someone for an interview unless they have demonstrated leadership and extrac experience. I think we usually get about 40 resumes for 3-4 internship slots at the school I recruit from/
