Interview Prep
Hi everyone,
I know recruiting season is around the corner for both internships and FT for undergrad college students. I was fortunate to have a lot of great resources during my time and want to help other undergrads land offers.
A little bit about me is I am an incoming first-year associate at BCG, received offers from many other firms, and come from a non-target school, so I can definitely help those who are struggling to land that first-round interview.
Feel free to DM me or reply if you're an undergrad and are looking for help!
Lmao you’re anonymous
Sorry! Fixed
Firstly, big congrats, bcg/mck are the two dream firms so big congrats. And on behalf of everyone, thanks for this, you didnt have to do it but you did, so really appreciate it.
My questions are:
1. I'm a complete novice with case study interviews. How did you approach it? What were the steps you did to go from novice to interview ready? This is in regards to all 3 parts: the strategy problem, market sizing (either embedded into interview or standalone like Bain) and the personal questions (I think McK is big on it)
2. Im sure you interviewed with multiple firms. What were your experiences with interviews with each firm? How did they differ? I've read for instance that some firms are interview led and some are interviewee led, I wonder if this is still the case. Other differences would be appreciated.
3. Idk what the process is like in the US, but in the UK, BCG/McK seem to have really difficult tests particularly McK with the animals stuff. How did you approach preparing for said tests? What was your strategy in the tests? How were they like?
4. I'll DM you this as its quite personal
Any advanced casers looking to case prep, DM me
