Is McKinsey more difficult to get than Goldman?

Im a junior at wharton looking for a summer job. Someone told me that the big three consulting firms are harder to get than bbs. Is this true? What kind of wharton undergrad gpa do you need to have to get a first round at these places?

It's not harder/easier, its different. For me, being a non business/finance major, consulting interviews came easier, and I did better on them too. For others, it may have been the opposite.

Traditionally, people don't prepare well for case interviews + McK analytical assessment so that's why you might have heard that.

Also, having just gone through the recruiting process here's some advice: Don't worry too much about what GPA you need, or what your chances are of getting interview/second round etc. Just get the highest GPA you can, network and prepare for interviews well.

Because you're at Wharton I'm going to postulate that it would be easier for you to get an interview with a BB then with MBB. But the above poster is right, it's not easier or harder... it's just different.
