L.E.K Ph.D Analyst Position - Career Progression?

Anybody know more about this Ph.D. analyst position from LEK? Where does it fit into the Associate -> Consultant -> Manager career progression? It seems like a new position as there is very little information about it online.

Assuming you are talking about life science specialist (LSS), which is where all PhDs started out when I was there. They start at AC equivalent. So 2 years above someone from undergrad and 2 years below someone from MBA. You should note that this is a raw deal compared to PhDs hired at McKinsey (and I believe BCG), where they all come in at the MBA level.
