London MBB recruiting 2024
Have heard about multiple firms pushing 2023 offers to 2024 both in Europe and the US. How will headcount for 2024 positions be affected and will the 2024 positions get their start-dates pushed to 2025?
Some (but not all) start dates have been deferred to 2025 indeed, as our 2024 pipeline mainly got filled during 2023 (with many start dates from then pushed to 2024).
Our 2023 hiring has been very slow vs. a buyoant 2022, and some offers were pushed out. We are interviewing and making offers, but I'm not sure what those start dates are for ACs at the moment.
Thanks for your reply! Have you already started with recruiting this year? I was under the impression that deadlines are in mid-October for MBB, with interviews being in October - December or so.

Not aware of any particular deadlines (but then again I did recruit as an experienced hire, and we are on a rolling basis for those profiles). For new grads in London (and peeps with 2YOE), we're reopening in September for ACs and we definitely have interview rounds planned for that period.

I wanted to ask if the September opening applies to someone who graduated in 2022 w/ off-cycle internship experience post-graduation. Not sure because the wording on the website seems a bit unclear to me (apologies in advance).
