[LONDON] - Networking in London to jump from audit to RX

Hi,

I am an audit trained professional at top 10 thinking of making a move to RX advisory space preferably to a big 4/top 10 RX team, specialist RX advisory boutiques or RX consulting firms such as A&M, Alix, FTI, Kroll and the likes.

Firstly, Is it a common transition to make for audit professionals to RX?

How effective is networking in London to land this role post ACA qualification with audit training. How should I structure my outreach? Should I use LinkedIn or try to email people after identifying their name and role on LinkedIn.

Furthermore, do you have any advise on how to position myself to successfully execute this transition.

Thank you in advance

Probably won’t be much help to you since this is what I’ve seen from B4 friends in the US, but audit to RX consulting competition is exceptionally high, even if you’re coming from a big 4. Also, groups like TAS are a much better fit for RX consulting than audit. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible, just very hard.

Thanks for the comment.

I have been thinking about this transition because I have seen people from audit making a direct move to RX consulting/advisory on Linkedin to big 4 and shops such as A&M, Alix and FTI and this could potentially be a UK specific talent pipeline.

Do you work in the RX consulting/advisory - If so, do you think maybe moving to insolvency from audit could be a good path to RX advisory side of the business or would it pigeonhole me to be an "insolvency guy" forever?
