Management consulting in Hong Kong

A few questions here in MCs in HONGKONG

I’m going to pursue my MBA at HKU next year (2020). I’m Chinese and had my bachelors in accounting and computer science from a US local state school( non-Ivy).questions:

  1. Do you guys think I have somewhat a good chance to get into one of the big strategy consulting firms? If I work hard on the case studies, do good networkings during school, and all necessary work. Tbh at this point I don’t even know if the university of hongkong is a target school for their hongkong office, seems like they still prefer ivys and Oxbridges but I’m thinking studying in Hong Kong helps with networking?

  2. The salaries for both management consultants and associates on Glassdoor seem kinda low for MBAs, any idea on the approximate numbers?

Many thanks for whoever’s contribution to these questions.

Hi cityzenv22,

Thank you so much for answering my questions! This is great. I've been a bit anxious about the future, so doing a lot research and reading. You mind if I ask for you contact info? Facebook, LinkedIn or even wechat if that's possible. I would love to chat more with you, since I'm moving him to hongkong next year, would be great to somewhat stay in touch :)
