MBB Associate vs. A&M/AlixPartners Manager Level

Hi all, I'm a long time lurker and first time poster. I'm trying to decide between two options and would appreciate input on differences in salary, exit opportunities, work/life balance, culture, etc. I'll use McKinsey titles for consistency and simplicity. The first option is an associate opportunity with an MBB in their operations practice. The second is an engagement manager opportunity with A&M/AlixPartners in their performance improvement group.

I'm not interested in trying for Partner, so I'd be interested in what exit opportunities are available if I stay 3-4 years. Post consulting I am leaning towards working in operations, but have not decided yet. Thanks in advance!
