MBB contacts: ask for help with resume?
So I've been in contact for a couple months (email/phone) with a couple of (non-senior) MBB consultants who graduated my college and was thinking of asking them to look over my resume.
However, I have heard that most of the team that looks over your resume will consist of junior consultants who have graduated from the same school as me.
So would asking them to look over my resume beforehand be a bad idea?
It's still a good idea, but make some effort to have a good draft to send to them. They do have influence and if you send a piece of crap resume that communicates you made little effort, you're showing that you just don't "get it", and that will kill you in consulting.
Here are some tips to keep in mind as you work on your resume
