MBB Full-Time Recruiting After Waitlist for Internship

I am a rising senior at a target school and was waitlisted in the previous recruiting cycle for internship positions at MBB. I am planning to rerecruit this summer for full time roles and was wondering what, if any implication there might be based on me being waitlisted in previous rounds. Would it be helpful to email the recruiters and connect with this information?

It's a very good sign and typically means that you'll be considered for an interview, provided you stay in touch with the firms you interviewed at. Expectation will be that you've done something awesome over the summer and that you look better now than you did then.

You should currently be focused on reaching out to AC/A/BAs at the MBBs and doing cases with them, Try to get at least one touchpoint every 2 weeks or so with different people. Nail your cases and you'll be a shoe in for interviews.

Remember, always be kind-hearted.
