MBB Hiring Freeze?
All,
IB Analyst with ~2 years of experience. Thinking about recruiting for MBB (as an industry hire). Does anyone know what industry hiring looks like these days? Is there a hiring freeze in place given the state of the economy / current headcount?
Any insight here would be helpful.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
I can confirm no hiring freeze at BCG in North America, at least.

It's slow. No one is obviously going to come outright and say it's a freeze, because that has a lot of negative connotations with it. But none of them are hungry for more bodies at the moment, probably for Q1 2023 as well.
Absolute and complete guess. I'd recommend still ramping up your casing and being ready to apply and interview in a few months.
The word hiring freeze is frowned up and no one will admit to it and it is hardly ever a freeze. But a slowdown across most geos is tangible
Quasi except for specific needs. They've also delayed promotions and lower the bar to get counseled out. It's not looking good
