MBB LA offices

I looked all over this site and I found one, somewhat outdated and not super useful. They were are 5+ years old.

I was curious if anyone had updated on how MBB LA, specifically the BCG office, fares relative to other offices. I am curious how LA stacks up against NYC, SF, Boston.

I had a final round in BCG LA, I'll give my two cents since no one else is. It's a small office - only 1.5 floors, with not much square footage. People rarely come to office on Friday's. Small MBA class (less than 10 people per year). Mostly Media, entertainment, and tech were the people I talked too...I'd assume life sciences too based on location.

It'll be a mix of Ivy + top private/public + select local universities.

LA offices tend to be smaller for consulting because there just isn't as much local business compared to other US cities, despite population size. Think about the Fortune 100 companies HQed in LA vs. NYC or SF. Plus you could serve LA out of the SF office if needed.

Where exactly are you in the recruiting process? What's underlying your questions about LA recruiting?

Thank you Aura, your responses have been extremely informative.

Honestly, I am not in the recruiting process at all. I was just really curious about LA offices in general. On the east, you have your NYC/Boston, middle you have Chicago, and in the west I figured you had LA/SF. But, I didn't see many people vs SF, so I was curious. Sorry to bother so many people, I guess my tone was off? I'm not sure. But thank you! I really appreciate your help.
