MBB London Referrals

Hi all, curious to find out about whether MBB offices in London offer a referral system, particular for undergrad/recent grad applicants. Where they exist, how make or break are these referrals in securing 1st round interviews (assuming strong CV).

Further, is this something you can secure after sending off your application? Or do you need to receive a specific referral application link from your referee.

Thanks in advance.

We do, but it basically does nothing (CV still gets screened, you still might not get a test invite, you can still fail the test, and if you make it to interviews, the interviewers have no idea about this, so they'll score you fresh)

Frankly, I wonder why we even have it in London. In principle you're supposed to do it before you apply, and the person should ideally be from the same office. Once the person has referred you in our system, you receive an invitation to apply, make sure to use the same email address you gave them (that's how we track it).
