MBB Networking Questions for Coffee Meeting

Hey, I've got a networking meeting with 2 MBB consultants this week and I am trying to get in at the associate level. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on good insightful questions to ask? One is an associate consultant and the other a partner. Any suggestions on the approach/questions to ask for the 2 coffee meetings to help my chances with recruitment? thank you!

I would start with the basics like what made you want to go into consulting, join your specific firm etc. Then ask about projects. Do some research on each of them to see what industries they've worked in. Ask questions about projects that demonstrate your knowledge of the consulting industry and also show you did your homework by researching these guys.

Be prepared to answer why consulting/why our firm/tell us your story.

Don't look at this as a chance to boost your recruitment. Your chances of getting an interview increasing will be a nice byproduct of a good conversation where you show you can hold an intelligent conversation and ask insightful questions.

Why don't you start by suggesting a few questions or topics of conversation of your own then asking for feedback or thoughts rather than bringing nothing to the table and expecting us to feed you questions that you can parrot back to them?
