MBB Partner telling me to send my resume to HR
long time lurker, first time poster. would appreciate any thoughts about this:
After getting in touch with an alum who's a MBB partner, he requested that i send my resume to him. After a couple days, he emails me back, thanking me for sending my stuff in, and tells me to forward the stuff to two people in HR, who he had CC'ed in the email.
Not sure why he didn't just forward the stuff himself, but I don't really know what this means... do you think I have no shot?

ouch. that bad huh? does it mean anything that he sent me a reply and CC'ed the recruiters telling me to send it to them...?
School/stats? I mean its better that he CC'ed the emails than just giving you the addresses...
honestly, barring the exceptional case where he truly goes to bat for you, it won't make a difference anyway.
