MBB pushing FT start dates to 1Q? read that on IB forum
I really hope the comment on IB forum that MBB is pushing start dates to 1Q24 is not true. Thoughts?

In London we’re done for hiring for 2023, so right now we’re definitely only interviewing people for ‘24.
Unsure about those who already have offers for this year however.
There's a reddit post on /mba that a lot of undergrads confirmed at McK/ Bain start dates getting pushed back. I don't think its a massive red flag as they did the same during covid and Jan / Feb start dates have always been an option at those firms.
If I were you I'd take the 6 months and 30k they're offering and live in SE Asia or something lol
My MBB is offering start dates for the incoming undergrad class ranging from September '23 to summer '24. Those who defer to start in '24 receive a stipend to pursue an internship, study abroad, language study, or any passion project. They claimed that nobody was forced to start in '24 that didn't elect to, but I think quite a few people got start dates in late fall 2023 (October/November) that wanted to start earlier. September is the earliest start date whereas last year the earliest start date was June.
Bain employees are some lucky people rn!
I heard BCG forced start dates back but did not offer stipend.

Im incoming at Mck and they havent said anything about start dates since we filled out the survey two months ago - pretty odd, but Im honestly fine if they defer my start date till 2024 (I have financial support from my parents till I start working) but I know others may not have financial support after graduation so Mck should hopefully tell us soon
