MBB sign on bonus and relocation assistance
I recently received an offer from an MBB firm for a post-MBA consultant position. I have a couple years post MBA, but they are only offering me a first year consultant position (same as fresh MBAs). Does any one know if I have any leverage here to negotiate a second year consultant position?
Also, what is the typical sign on bonus like?
Also, they have been vague about the amount of relocation assistance they will provide (they will only let me know post acceptance). Does any one know what is typical? (lumpsum or based on mileage etc, and what amount) Also do they provide house hunting trip assistance etc?
Any help is much appreciated.

Little to no leverage, you will start as first year until you can prove you are ready to be a senior associate, at this point you haven't built your "toolbox" and are virtually useless as a senior associate / manager role.
well put free loader haha
Know of a post undergrad industry hire negotiating up a year at an MBB firm. Might as well try it. Its not like they'll rescind the offer for asking.
Thanks freeloader. Any idea about the sign-on bonus or relocation assistance?

I know post-MBA signing bonus is $20k. Relocation is generally based on distance moved. For schools its miles between school and office.
