I’m an UG and I’m planning to apply to 2021 summer internships to consulting. What is your outlook on that? Do you think they’ll freeze applications? Will it be way more competitive? If not, what is your view on return offers? Will it be the same as other years?

I don’t think COVID will impact summer 2021 hiring at all. That position is essentially for Fall 2022 and no one expects things to still be impacted at that point.
How do you think COVID will impact fall recruiting this year for full-time 2021 positions?

It’s a good question and to be honest I’m not 100% sure. If I had to guess, class sizes would be about the same, I don’t expect any serious drop in business activity a year from now. Granted, “about the same” is a slow down considering MBBs have been growing at about a 10% clip for years.
