MBB/T2 London Headcount

Just had a couple of questions about MBB and T2 recruitment this coming application cycle:

1. Is the consulting market finally starting to turn around and improve? Do you expect number of grads hired to increase compared to last year?

2. If I have just graduated, can I apply to grad positions this September for a January/March start date? Or do I need to wait to start in Sept 25?

    • For us, yes, things are looking way better than last year (though this is tentative, and we'd certainly like to see at least one more strong quarter to start feeling comfortable)
    • This year's intake is likely closed, but if things continue to pick up, then so should hiring for next year (i.e., 2025)

    • For this September, 100% no. For January / April, big TBD (erring on the side of less likely), given applications won't open before September
    • Realistically, a July or Sep 2025 start is most likely when applications reopen, but if the person is free, business is growing, and we're not maxed out for earlier start dates, a new starter could join in Jan / Apr 2025 (not very likely though, to be honest)
