McKinsey: Didnt hear back?

Guys, I applied to McKinsey off campus in July of this year. But haven't heard back. Might mean a ding, but I'm not sure if this is how the process is supposed to work. Sent an email to the recruiter a couple of weeks back but still didnt hear back. Any advice?

That is quite a long time to wait. I'm not saying it won't happen, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Wait and see if you get a response, and keep applying to other places. There is a world outside of McK. Best of luck!

I applied back in early May, heard back about being selected for interview in mid-June, and finally started the interview process in early August till I reached third rounds in late September. Consultancies tend to operate on a protracted schedule. While it is more likely a ding than not, I would still follow up with HR if you have a contact over there.

Good luck!

If you applied through campus recruiting, aren't they required to inform you of your status at some point? If you just applied through the website, you'll probably get an email after the whole process is over saying that you got dinged (if you did, in fact, get dinged). If you just applied through their website I'd assume you got dinged. But that's not really a ding; they often barely look at random online apps unless someone internally refers you.

One of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over.

Same happened to me. I was hearing back from them one day after each phase, but them suddenly I didn't receive any feedback after one interview for like 3 weeks or so. I e-mailed them back just to find out I had another interview scheduled for next week, they said they e-mailed me about it but I never received. In the end, I got the offer. But things like this happen, doesn't mean you are dinged if you don't hear from them soon. Congratulations on your offer, dude.
