Hey there,

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that not all applicants to internships at McKinsey receive an invite to complete the Solve game instantly. The process usually involves a CV submission first, followed by a Problem-Solving Test (PST), and then the case interviews.

However, it's important to note that the process can vary depending on the region and specific circumstances. So, while some applicants might receive an invite to complete the Solve game early in the process, it's not a guarantee for all.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you. Are there any sites you could recommend to learn more about their test / prepare for the real one?

To be frank, I was prev. just considering to make a fake account & apply.

There are a couple websites with guides and write ups (didnt personally find them that helpful but no reason to not review). Biggest thing imo is just making sure you know the rules before going in.

Have seen other people on WSO talk about the fake account strategy. Have not done it personally. Not sure if it’s entirely risk free / how heavily they monitor for this. There are also multiple versions of the game so you run the risk of feeling overly prepared and then getting bait and switched
