Mid-Tier Internship -> Full-Time MBB Opinions
Currently at an internship with a mid-tier MC firm and wanted to gauge the chances of landing a FT offer with a MBB?
Little more background about myself: Coming from a non-target university studying economics and finance with single digit alumni working/have worked at an MBB. Ton of work experience (some like 6 internships counting the current MC role) varying from private equity to sales to sourcing roles, and a lot of leadership/involvement on my campus.
More than happy to do the networking and reaching out, but I was curious as to a couple of questions: 1- Is a move from a mid-tier consulting internship into MBB full-time viable? 2- Does having my current internship experience, elevate me above simply a non-target candidate? 3- What precautions should I take while looking to make a move like this? 4- How should somebody justify a move like this when asked, "Why (mbb firm)?"
Getting some really great hands on work with the integration of a brand new ERP system with a F100 company, and is certainly unique compared to the work fellow interns are getting. The reason I currently am considering a move like this in the first place is opportunity set to work on much more forward looking projects. The ERP implementation is interesting, but I'd love to forge a path vs. helping an established firm keep up. Any help/advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Hey HanzNFranz, sorry about the delay, but are any of these useful:
