Missed MBB Coffee Chat - What should I do

I'm a rising senior applying to MBB from a target. Last year I had a final round with this office and they recently invited me to a coffee chat event. The event was exclusive (I know that not everyone got the invite) and involved picking a time slot to talk with an unnamed consultant in this office. The event was only for this office, and they stressed only signing up if you prefed that office.

Anyways, I ended up forgetting about the coffee chat and not realizing until days later, so it was too late to email an apology.

I'm concerned that me missing this event will be looked at as rude and I won't receive an interview. If this is the case, then I can preference another office when I apply. However, I would prefer this office and have received a recommendation from an employee there. What should I do?
