Need to understand what MDs and partners are concerned about

Hello! I am a master's graduate in psychology with a background in Project Management. I am preparing my resume for a transition to consulting but need help identifying what partners and MDs are really looking for when hiring someone. What are they most concerned about during a project? What can a consultant/analyst do to really impress them? I am looking for specific responses beyond "you should be able to learn quickly" or "you need to be able to use excel and powerpoint." Thanks!
