Oliver Wyman and the Analysis Group
Hi,
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct forum to post this or not.
But I have a 2 part question:
I was wondering if anyone knew how long it usually took to hear back from Oliver Wyman about an application.
I applied back in February for a consulting position. I believe it was an entry level, even though I have 2 years of experience. Maybe if someone had a contact within the HR group, I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked on their online system and it said that I am still under review.
Also I was wondering if anyone had any insight into the Analysis Group, they are a much smaller firm ( I believe to be a boutique firm).
Thanks
Analysis group is a "top" economic litigation consulting firm like NERA, LECG, Cornerstone, Compass Lexecon etc... to me they are all pretty much the same.
However... AG has this one young SMOKIN jaw dropping dime piece who is from their west coast office... your life would be complete if you hooked up with her. even now i'm sweating thinking of her.
one of the issues i have with your posts is i cant tell if you are serious, so much that comes out of your mouth is pure shit.
Oliver Wyman in which office? I don't have HR contact but I know some guys that work at OW.
.
Check PM.
The first part of PJC's post is actually true.
analysis group recruits at my school, but i never think they really had a v good reputation... maybe they have a better rep on the east coast, since i think they're based in boston. vault ranks them as one of the top 50 consulting firms, but then again, take it with a pinch (or sack) of salt, we've gone through enough college recruiting and ib recruiting to know that rankings and league tables mean nothing more than a guide.
Analysis Group does economic consulting. Do a search for economic / litigation consulting and for the main firms (nera, lecg, cra, brattle group, compass lexecon, cornerstone research) do get more information on the industry, there have been a number of posts about it in the past.
I have experience in this field and know about two of the above mentioned firms quite well and have interviewed/have friends at the rest, so I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
All of the econ consulting places will set you up pretty well for b school.
