Operations finance -> Ops consulting
Currently working in operations finance at the divisional level of a FTSE100 company in the US. The company is manufacturing based and the role I'm in is FP &A, where I get to see the financial benefits / issues we are having with plants across the globe. With this experience, would it be possible to break into operations consulting? Right now I'm feeling if as I'm doing more financial analysis of operations projects, and I'm more interested in actually coming up with operational improvement ideas.
Currently at the analyst level with almost a year of experience.
Sure, why not. But your best shot is still MBA.
