Physician interested in healthcare consulting
I'm a primary care physician in my early 40’s, practicing at a non-academic medical center on the West Coast.
I have an undergraduate degree from an Ivy, but no management degree or advanced degree besides an M.D. I worked at a nonprofit and as a research assistant for a few years before med school; my work experience since then has been entirely in medicine.
Is it possible for someone in my situation to transition into healthcare consulting? If so, is there a way to do this without having to get an additional degree?
