PR Consulting Prospect - Edelman vs. FTI StratComm vs. Burson

Hey everyone, new chimp here, I'm looking to get into PR consulting, and wanted to see what the word on the street is about Edelman, FTI StratComm & Burson (for crisis, litigation, and special situations communications), when it comes to reputation, prestige, etc. If there are any other firms that you all think would fit the bill, I'd love to hear more about those as well.

In addition, what does the day to day lifestyle look like / what do they do in this type of consulting, what are potential exits down the line, what does compensation / WLB look like, and what's the ideal background to break in / how competitive are roles?

Hopefully there's at least a couple people on here with insights. Thanks in advance!!
