Does anyone have information on PwC’s or Accenture’s MBA sponsorship/tuition reimbursement programs for (non-IT) consultants? Any insights would be appreciated, but especially information regarding stipulations on how many years before/after at the company are required and how generous they are in terms of total number of employees who can qualify.
Deloitte has some good details on their website including years, which schools they pay for, and what exactly is covered. PwC and Accenture are both more cryptic on their sites.
PwC does provide an MBA sponsorship, however, not everyone who applies gets selected. Approximately 15 participants get selected each year from all levels (except Associate level) and most participants are Managers and above. The program has a list of participating school which includes ivy leagues. Participants must complete an internship after year 1 and remain with the firm for 2-3 years after obtaining the degree.

Is it difficult for an experienced or senior associate to get it, or is it just that less apply?
I would hopefully be coming in as an experienced associate at age 27 due to a break in college doing a job where I got considerable leadership experience. My goal was to enter an MBA program after 2 or 3 years at PwC since I had 5 years of work experience in a nontraditional leadership position before reentering college.
It is definitely difficult for an Experienced Associate to get funding. However, you will most likely be promoted to a Senior after you first or second year, thus, I believe you have a fair chance to obtain the sponsorship. Again, the competition is pretty strong and many of these sponsorships get awarded to Directors or Senior Managers who do their EMBAs (but I do remember seeing Seniors on the list). You will have to work your ass off, get top ratings, and get to know the partners in your group.
One more consideration. The application process for the program starts fairly late (Spring I believe), which means that in order to apply you have to have at least one acceptance letter.
