Re-reaching out to previously networked consultants

Hey everyone,

Last summer I reached out and networked with a bunch of consultants in order to learn and improve my chances of getting an interview. I got the interview for a few firms but sadly didn't get an offers. How do I re connect with these consultants? How would you write an email to re connect with them after a year/semester?

Just send an email saying:

-Hi, my name is X -We met or were connected through the recruiting process for your firm (lets call it Firm Y) last year -I did not receive an offer from Firm Y, so I ended up interning at Firm Z this summer instead -I had a great experience at Firm Z and learned a lot, but remain interested in joining firm Y -So, I would love to connect to ask you some questions and learn more about this years recruiting process for firm Y

Keep it brief, casual, and to the point. Good luck
