(Re)-Recruiting deadlines for MBB 2024?
First and foremost, sorry for making a 2024 post when 2023 is only beginning to wrap up. I recently signed my T2 offer for a summer internship role back in October, and knew in the back of my head I'd give re-recruiting for MBB another go when the summer rolled back around. I decided to put it out of my mind for at least the next 4-6 months and enjoy the rest of the year stress-free.
My school has OCR at one of the MBBs, and a few weeks ago, they came down for a surprise appearance to host a few events geared at sophomores and the (non-offer) juniors. From them and one other MBB in a regional office, I've heard there are plans to do recruiting in the Spring to keep pace with banking timelines. Things are too early to be set in stone obviously, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had heard anything similar or can confirm/deny. If things get pushed up to mid-Spring, that means casing and chats will start back up in January.

From a recruiter at McKinsey, there are no current plans to recruit in the Spring, though they will if competitors do

Yes, thanks for the clarification. Just trying to forecast FT recruitment cycles for MBB. More than happy at my T2 this summer and beyond, but want to be prepared in case they move timelines up
