Currently prepping for Summer 2024 internships and had a brief call with someone at McKinsey a while ago and they told me to let them know after I've applied and they would put in a word for me. Is this the same as a referral? To my knowledge, people with referrals seem to apply through a special link right? Is this something I should bring up or should I just stay silent? Kinda freaking out since the Summer BA intern deadline is close.
