Resume from Business School

Hi friends,

This August, I am going to join a top MBA program and planning to recruit for MBB/Tier-2. I have a question:

I joined my 3rd employer last November but was laid off this Jan due to company down-sizing (completely not performance-based). In my school, we only need to list year for each company. So even if I stayed with my 3rd employer for 3 months, it would look like: 2021-2022 Employer 3. So I think the resume itself will look fine. However, some companies will also ask us to fill our employment history, and here, they will know I was only employed for 3 months. I may have a pre-MBA internship before MBA starting Feb/Mar.

My questions is:

Is lay-off itself a red flag? I am from biopharm and it is very common for companies to lay off after certain milestones are not met. And it is my case. But I don't know how consulting firms view it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
