Short term client engagement

I am just starting my career at a very big consulting firm out of college, and was offered an interesting opportunity for my first placement on a project where the structure of the client contact is unorthodox compared to what I have been hearing other people I know in consulting talk about.

I have been hearing almost exclusively of 3-9 month engagements where the new hire will work with a team on a project for this amount of time. This opportunity in front of me would involve me being with a different client every week to discuss our work on their project.

I am certain that this is not some gimmicky sales or deployment role, but I wanted to hear if this would look good or bad if I were trying to be recruited at a new firm, or trying to get placed on top projects in the future at this firm.
