Should I add all my technical skills to a consulting resume?

Hi all,

Should I add all my technical skills to a consulting resume?

I am hoping to switch into MBB mid-career, and I’ve worked over 7 years in roles ranging from strategy, policy to data analytics for several big name firms, after graduating from a top US undergrad. My current role is in data analytics, but I’m hoping to switch back to strategy work in MBB.

I do know quite a few technical languages - R, Stata, Python, MATLAB, etc. If I’m hoping to break into MBB consulting, should I leave these out of my CV to avoid appearing “too technical”?

My first instinct is to leave them out, but I do want to leave the option open of applying to MBB’s knowledge arms if I get rejected for consulting roles. These technical skills would be useful in a CV targeted at the knowledge roles, but it might appear off if I re-apply later for their knowledge arms with a slightly different CV that has additional technical skills.
