Should I do MBB?
Joined a UK boutique consulting firm in Toronto known for the AM/WM consulting practice 1.5 ish years ago.
Have an offer to transfer to MBB. Should I take it? Pay is roughly the same so is a null factor and I do honestly enjoy financial services.
Don't want to throw away a job a really enjoy simply for MBB that is considered more "prestigous".
Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some considerations for your decision:
Prestige and Career Development:
Industry Focus:
Location and Mobility:
Work Environment and Culture:
Exit Opportunities:
Personal Satisfaction:
In summary, while MBB offers significant advantages in terms of prestige, training, and exit opportunities, it's essential to weigh these against your current job satisfaction, industry focus, and work-life balance. If you are content and see growth potential in your current role, it might be worth staying. However, if you seek broader opportunities and are willing to take on potentially more demanding work, MBB could be a great move.

I would take it. Sounds like you just started working, and the MBB brand will help much more than the UK firm down the road. You can always work at MBB first then boomerang back to your old firm. That's much easier and the MBB opportunity might not show up again in the future.
Is this Alpha FMC?
yea lol how did u guess
Would recommend you to make the firm description more vague. probably ez to guess who you are based on your tenure and firm
